Memory care
Memory care in Janesville, MN
A secured setting for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, inside a small building where faces stay familiar. Private room, private bathroom, and an enclosed courtyard for time outdoors.

Medical visits right here
Oakwood partners with Mankato Clinic, and their providers visit residents every week. For someone living with dementia, seeing a provider in familiar surroundings is far easier than a trip across town to a clinic, and it means fewer disruptions to the routine that keeps the day calm.
Why small matters in memory care
Dementia makes new places and new faces hard. A smaller building means fewer hallways to get lost in and fewer strangers.
At Oakwood, memory care is secured. The enclosed courtyard means fresh air is part of an ordinary day, not a special outing.
Each resident still has a private room and a private bathroom. Dignity does not stop being important because memory has changed.

What a day looks like
Need from the community: the daily rhythm in memory care, who plans activities (activities@oakwoodseniorlivingmn.com), dementia training staff complete, and staffing by shift. The old site claimed Music and Memory certification and “99% family satisfaction” with no source. Both were removed. Send proof and we will put them back.
